«Kürdilihicazkar Peşrev» is a famous Turkish classical music piece composed by Tanburi Cemil Bey.
Tanburi Cemil Bey was a renowned Turkish tanbur, yaylı tanbur, kemençe, and lavta virtuoso and composer who greatly contributed to the Taksim genre in Turkish classical music. He was born in Istanbul in 1873 and died on July 28, 1916, in Istanbul. Cemil Bey is remembered as one of the most important composers of instrumental art music from the late period of the Ottoman Empire. His recordings between 1910 and 1914, prior to the invention of the electric microphone, set the precedent for the saz semai suite form that continues to dominate Turkish classical music.
